What is a Virtual Running Race?

A virtual race is a race which participants can choose to do from any location, anytime of the day, you get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself.

How does this work?

CHALLENGE DATES:

• September 12^th and 13^th , 2020.

REGISTRATION:

• Registration is now opened
• Registration closes Wednesday, September 9th, 2020. (Will not be accepting any late registrations)

ENTRY FEE:

• Entry fee for the 50K Challenge is:

$45BZ for teams in Belize
$40US for teams outside of Belize

• To be completely registered, payment must be made by September 11th, 2020 by end of business.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

• 3 persons per team.
• Person can only register for ONE team only!
• Teams can register in one of the following categories:

All Women
All Men
Mixed (any combination)

DISTANCE:

• The team decides its own strategy by choosing which member runs what distance, however, all 3 distances must add up to 50K.
• Distance must be ran in a single attempt (dash) NO intervals/breaks/paused workout.
• Each participant runs and records their activity independently.

RECORDING OF DATA:

• Any device capable of recording your distance and duration can be used, cellphone with any app or GPS watch.

TEAM MANAGEMENT:

• One person is to be the primary contact for the team
• This person shall indicate to us that the total registration fee was made in one payment
• This person must ensure each member of the team has completed their distances and totals 50K
• This  person must collect from teams their image showing distances and duration and shall email all 3 images to us
• This person will receive the awards and swag and will be responsible to distribute to the rest of the team members

AWARDS:

• All completely registered teams will receive race bib and 1 race swag item
• All teams that finish will receive a 3 piece interlocking full color print finisher wooden medal, all 3 pieces complete the puzzle and a digital certificate

PHOTO COMPETITION:

• Teams that want to participate are encouraged to submit a team photo (all 3 members) showing patriotism
• Competition will be on Facebook, photo with the most likes wins
• Winning team will receive three beautiful Westrac t-shirt

NOTE:

Remember to maintain physical distracting of 10meters/33 feet if running behind someone.
