It is a community event that brings together fitness\, conservation\, and education on the Placencia Peninsula. \nEvery step you take supports the work of the Crocodile Research Coalition (CRC)\, helping fund vital education and outreach programs across Belize. \nWhy We Run \nFunds raised through the CROC RUN directly support CRC’s conservation efforts\, with a strong focus on education and youth development through our Next Gen Croc program. \nNext Gen Croc empowers young Belizeans through mentorship\, hands-on experiences\, and real-world exposure to science and conservation. By investing in young people today\, we are helping shape the future leaders of Belize’s environmental movement. \nCRC believes that education is the foundation of conservation. Especially when it comes to misunderstood species like crocodiles. Race packets include your bib and timing chip and can be picked up at the basketball court before the start of the race. Be on time!\n\nTIMING: \nHALF MARATHON \n\nProfessionally timed using chip timing. The race will follow a mass start (gun time).\n\n5K Fun Run \n\nNot timed. First finishers & best costumes win.  Have fun and enjoy the run!\n\nSTART LINE: \n\nIn front of the in front of the basketball court facing north\n\nHYDRATION & SUPPORT: \n\nSeveral water stations will be available along the route to keep you hydrated and energized.\nSnacks and refreshments will be provided at the finish line.\n\nFINISH AREA: \n\nHalf marathon runners must return their timing chip immediately after finishing.
