DESCRIPTION:Women in Stride 5K Race or Run/Walk hosted by the Belize Women in Sports Commission\n\nCome out and get active with us as we celebrate women in sports under the International Women’s Day Theme: GIVE TO GAIN \n \n\nREGISTRATION DEADLINE: \n\nThursday\, March 19th\, 2026\nCLOSED!!  Event FULL!!\n\nEVENT DATE: \n\nSunday\, March 22nd\, 2026\n\nSTART TIME: \n\n6:30 am for Run/Walk\n6:40 am 5K Race\n\nDISTANCE: \n\n5K (3.1miles) Race\n5K (3.1miles) Run/Walk\n\nENTRY FEE: \n\nFREE\nWe notice that with free events\, we receive a lot of entries\, and a VERY HIGH number of no shows. Please note that the organizer prepares for YOU by putting themselves in expenses which they could have avoided.  So please\, if you register please show your appreciation by being there.\n\nSTART / FINISH LOCATION: \n\nOlympic House\, (by Marion Jones) Belize City\n\n5K RACE  & RUN/WALK ROUTE: \n\nStart at Olympic House\,\nTurn Left unto Princess Margaret Drive\nTurn Left on Marine Parade\nMake a U-Turn at the Round – A- Bout by Golden Bay\nCome back the same way.\nEnd at Olympic House\n\n \nTERRAIN: \n\nPaved  roads\n\nCATEGORIES: \n\nMen / Women – Open\n\nT-SHIRT: \n\nYes  – First come first served starting at 6:00 am\n\nAWARDS: \n\nFinisher Prizes for Chipped Runners (5K Race) – Men & Women\nPrizes and gifts for other participants\n\nREGISTRATION: \n\nRegistration: CLOSED!!\nLimit Reached!!\n\n5K RACE \n\nRegistration for chip-time 5K race must be done online\nDeadline is Thursday\, March 19th\, 2026 at 5:30pm Race full.\n\n5K RUN/WALK \n\nOnline registration encouraged\nMorning of event: None taken\, event is full!!\n\n>> After registration is closed: << \n\nNo late online registration accepted for 5K race!\nAny person who show up taking the position of a runner who didn’t show up will be an automatic disqualification.\n\nCHECK-IN / PACKET PICKUP: \nCheck-In: timing chip (5K race only) and t-shirt pickup will be done before the event starting at 6am. \nTIMING: \nONLY the 5K Race will be timed. Each runner’s time is important to them and to us as well\, hence\, to accurately measure runners’ times\, we’ll using ProChip Timers. Timing method will be gunshot whereby all participants receive the same start time. Your time will be stopped when you cross the sensor at the finish line. \nSTART LINE: \n\nRunners will line on the street (leading to Marion Jones) but in front of the Olympic House\n\nHYDRATION: \nThere will be 1 hydration station \n\nAt the U-turn location at the Round A bout by Golden Bay\n\nFINISH AREA: \n\nRunners doing the 5K Race must return the timing chip immediately after finishing the race\, a sign will let you know where to drop off your chip\, indicate to the volunteer nearby that you are doing so.\n\nAWARD CEREMONY: \n\nShort ceremony will be held to award prizes.\n\nNOTE:  \nAfter you submit your registration\, an automatic email will be sent to you with additional information.  If you don’t see it in your inbox\, please check the junk/spam folder or promotions tab.  If it is still not there\, you may have entered your email address incorrectly\, please ask us to confirm.
